MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Piedmont women's lacrosse suffered its first loss of the season to Rhodes by a final score of 20-4.
The Lynx held control from the first draw, scoring in the first minute of the game. Piedmont would be put on the back foot for the remainder of the quarter as Rhodes scored ten times to open the contest.
Piedmont wouldn't be able to answer until the second quarter, when they brought in a trio of goals scored by
Avery Washington,
Laura Crone and
Kaitlyn Mulligan. The Lions would bring home another goal in the third quarter courtesy of
Savannah Limehouse.
The Lions would be unable to put forth any more offense as the Lynx close out the contest with a 20-4 score.
Piedmont will look to bounce back against the Berry College Vikings on Wednesday, Feb. 25th, at 6:00 p.m. in Mount Berry, Ga.
TURNING POINT:
- The Lynx seized control in the opening quarter with ten unanswered goals.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:

Tamar Tompkins picked up five ground balls while causing three turnovers in the contest.
