SEASON PREVIEW: Women's Golf

DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont women's golf will tee off with its spring season opener this Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Centre College Classic in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

WGOLF Team Fall 2025
  • Piedmont is slated for five events in the spring capped off by the USA South Championship in Sanford, North Carolina from April 20-22 at Carolina Trace Country Club.
  • Overall, the Lions will visit three different states in their five events, bookending the season in North Carolina with a couple of in-state events in Georgia and one in Virginia.
    • Following opening weekend, the team is set to compete over spring break at the Savannah Invitational on March 9-10 in Savannah, Georgia.
    • The team will return to south Georgia for the Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate March 20-22, before concluding the regular season with the Stith Invitational in Glen Allen, Virginia.

Women's Golf 2024-25 Recap
  • The Lions enter the spring with eight athletes on the roster, with Erin Donovan and Keegan Goins the lone veterans with a number of freshmen filling out the roster.
  • Freshman Aubree Hill enjoyed a solid debut fall season, earning a pair of USA South Rookie of the Week nods.
  • Freshmen Addison Maney, Zoe Shuttlesworth and Lila Polakowski each earned valuable experience in the fall.
Women's Golf Spring 2026 Roster
  • Head coach Blake Watson enters his first spring as Head Coach after being hired before the fall.
    • Watson arrived in Demorest after serving as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s golf programs at East Tennessee State University, where he played an integral role in recruiting, player development, scheduling, and facility management.
    • During his tenure, the Buccaneers secured multiple Southern Conference Championships, including the 2024 and 2025 men’s titles and the 2024 women’s championship.
