Blake Watson

Blake Watson was named Head Women’s Golf Coach at Piedmont University in September 2025, bringing with him a proven track record of success at the collegiate level.

Watson arrives in Demorest after serving as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s golf programs at East Tennessee State University, where he played an integral role in recruiting, player development, scheduling, and facility management. During his tenure, the Buccaneers secured multiple Southern Conference Championships, including the 2024 and 2025 men’s titles and the 2024 women’s championship. He also coached ETSU’s Mats Ege to First Team All-America honors in 2024 while helping guide the men’s team to a 12th-place finish at the 2024 NCAA National Championship.

Prior to his time at ETSU, Watson gained valuable experience as a graduate assistant coach at Point University, where he worked with both golf programs while earning his MBA. He also previously served as an assistant golf professional at Chimney Oaks Golf Club, where he contributed to the facility’s rise into Golf Advisor’s Top 50 U.S. Courses.

Watson is a native of Toccoa, Georgia and earned his BBA in Accounting from Point University in 2020, where he was also a member of the men’s golf team, before completing his MBA in 2023.
