DEMOREST, Ga. - The No. 4 seeded Piedmont University men's soccer team will host the No. 5 seeded LaGrange Panthers in a rematch of last year's playoffs, on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 2:00 p.m. est
LAST TIME OUT:
Piedmont ended their regular season with a win against the Warren Wilson Owls in a tune-up game for the conference tournament. The Lions offense continued to roll with freshman star Daris Mustic, scoring a pair of goals in the comeback.
REGULAR SEASON v. THE PANTHERS:
LaGrange 1, Piedmont 2 (10/25/26)
The Lions collected a win in their final CCS regular season game of the season with a gritty performance against the Panthers. The game sat at a tie going into the half before a goal in the final 30 seconds by Justin Arriaga to give the Lions the lead going into the half.
Piedmont put together a strong defense all day but allowed a second-half goal to the Panthers, tying the game as the clock wound down.
In the 68th minute, the Lions broke through once again, on a beautiful through ball by Edwin Sosa-Reyes; junior Mason Keith developed a one-on-one attack and laced the game-winning goal into the back of the net, sealing the game for Piedmont.

Recap
PIEDMONT NOTES:
- Mustic leads the CCS in goals this season with 13 on the campaign. Mustic has also collected two CCS Rookie of the Week awards for his efforts this season.
- Davis Knight returned late in the season for the Lions and looked sharp. The senior missed time through the majority of the year, but that didn't change how potent of a scorer he was. In his first full game back, Knight notched two goals in a win against Warren Wilson and continued to roll from there. Knight entered the 2026 season in the top five in total goals scored in Division III.
- Piedmont averages 2.19 goals per game but looks to up the defense as opponents average 3.19 goals per game. However, the Lions have allowed just 13 goals in conference play (2.6 goals per conference game). Showing close competition.
LAGRANGE NOTES:
- LaGrange finished the season with a 6-9-1 overall record and a 1-3-1 conference record.
- The Panthers average 1.88 goals per game and allow 1.88 goals per game as well.
- Kenny Pamini and Jacob Sagstuen are tied for the team lead in goals with seven on the year.
