WHAT'S UP NEXT:
- The rescheduled game with Covenant College which was postponed due to weather and now will take place on Wednesday, October 21 with a 6:00 pm kickoff.
TURNING POINT:
- The opening minute saw too much action for the home team as Belhaven scored twice in the first 1:04 of the contest to take a 2-0 lead early.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- The flurry that occurred by Belhaven early in the contest may come as a surprise to those who are unaware that the two schools are separated by 463 miles and a couple of states, making it a tall task for the road team to start out fast.
- Though Belhaven's two goals were scored 20 seconds apart by the same player, it is not a NCAA record as Luis Peralta of Emory & Henry holds that honor scoring twice in 10 seconds vs. Ferrum on Sept. 1, 2011.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
-
Davis Knight has announced his return for the Lions converting a penalty with less than 20 minutes to play making the contest a tight one down the stretch for the road warriors.
