2024-25 PIEDMONT MEN'S BASKETBALL SEASON RECAP

  • The Lions finished the season 11-15 overall posting three conference wins in the CCS.
  • Piedmont earned a spot in the quarterfinals of the CCS Tournament, falling to #3 Huntingdon on the road.
  • Three Lions earned all-conference honors as Dylan Patrick, Fisher Darden and Bailey Wiseman all placed on the listing.
  • Patrick was joined by Griffin Neville as the pair earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
  • Five conference losses came by 10 points or less.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • In a record-setting game for Piedmont men's basketball, the Lions won a thriller 131-128 over Greenville while setting the single-game scoring record as a team. 
  • In total, eight Lions were in double figures while four student-athletes posted career-high point totals. 
  • The four Lions with career-highs in the contest were Dylan Patrick, Israel Hall, Trip Thompson and Arturo Overton.
  • Piedmont trailed at the break 66-62 as 128 points were scored in the first half alone.
  • Greenville totaled 20 3-pointers to Piedmont's nine as the Panthers were 20-of-58 from 3-point range.

  • Piedmont men's basketball claimed the title at the W&L Holiday Classic with a thrilling 83-78 overtime win over the host Generals.
  • In a back-and-forth battle, the Lions made enough hustle plays and two late three-pointers to hold off the Generals in overtime. 
  • Javi Marlowe led the five Lions who reached double figures, scoring a season-best 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and was named Tournament MVP. 
  • Fisher Darden added 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. 
  • Dylan Patrick was named to the All-Tournament Team with another solid performance, scoring 12 points to go with eight rebounds and three assists.

  • The Piedmont men's basketball team was victorious on Senior Day with a 98-77 win over Warren Wilson. 
  • The Lions cruised in the second half to make easy work of it and allow Head Coach Greg Neeley to give his seniors an early exit to applause inside Cave Arena. 
  • Piedmont was in a battle early as Warren Wilson led by seven with 7:45 to play in the first half. That wake up call was enough to get the Lions in gear as a 13-0 run put Piedmont in front 33-27.
  • The Lions took a 42-39 lead into halftime, and came out with a bang in the second half. Piedmont's defense kept Warren Wilson off the board for over five minutes in the second half as the offense used an 18-0 run to create distance. 
  • Piedmont saw 32 bench points from eight different players with 16 players seeing action.
