GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have released their Academic All-District teams for men's basketball and a pair of Lions earned recognition as
graduate student
Griffin Neville and junior
Dylan Patrick each have earned honors for the first time in their Piedmont careers.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.Â
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15, 2025 (men) and April 16, 2025 (women).
Neville increased his role in his second season with the Lions, starting all 26 contests. The Oakwood, Georgia native scored in double figures five times during the season including scoring 15 points to go with five rebounds and three assists in a season-opening win over JWU (Charlotte).

Taking over the role as point guard in his first season at Piedmont, Patrick was an all-around force, earning All-CCS Second Team honors. Patrick led the team in assists per game (3.7) while ranking second on the team in scoring (13.8 per game) and rebounding (4.8 per game).
