SEASON PREVIEW: Men's Basketball

The Piedmont men's basketball team will tip off its 2025-26 regular season at home this weekend, hosting #3 Emory at Cave Arena this Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

  1. The Lions finished with an 11-15 record to end the 2024-25 season and fell in the CCS First Round to Huntingdon.
  2. Piedmont will turn to a new head coach with JC Cavin joining the fold.
  3. While the Lions lost several key members to the team, such as Bailey Wiseman and Griffin Neville, they will have several returning members who look to have big seasons for Piedmont.
  4. The returners are headlined by Dylan Patrick, who, after transferring into Piedmont last season, was second in PPG behind Bailey Wiseman with 13.8.
  5. Piedmont was picked to finish third in the CCS by the league's coaches in the preseason poll.
