DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont University men's lacrosse team was unable to keep pace with Sewanee in a 17-10 loss Thursday. The Lions did celebrate
Ian Parr's 100th career point in the contest as he totaled five to lead the team and now sits with 101 in his career.
Piedmont fell behind 2-0 in the opening minutes but answered back with a goal by
Isaac Harrington, his first of four in the contest. The Lions held tough in the first period ending it tied at four.
In the second, Sewanee took control of the contest scoring five straight heading into the half to lead 10-5 at the break. In the third, Parr connected with Harrington for the Lions' only goal of the frame entering the fourth trailing 13-6.
Piedmont had back-to-back goals to start the final period from Harrington with Parr securing his 100th point with an assist on the opening goal of the fourth. The Lions did add four goals in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell 17-10.
Up next, the Lions will be in action at home against Rhodes on Sunday at 1 p.m.
