ATLANTA, Ga. - After claiming a share of the CCS Regular Season title, the Piedmont women's basketball team earned the top seed in the CCS Tournament and the right to host the semifinals and final this upcoming weekend. 

The women earned the top seed after a tie at the top of the standings with Asbury thanks to their NCAA Power Index (NPI) ranking which was higher than the Eagles. 

The first round games will take place on Tuesday where the Lions will learn their opponent and the two additional teams that will join Piedmont and Asbury in the semifinals. 

Six teams earned a spot in the tournament with the 3 vs. 6 match up and 4 vs. 5 contest occurring at the higher seeds on Tuesday.
