2025 Women's Swimming Senior Spotlight

These three seniors have helped establish a championship culture for the Lions over their careers. In the four years these student-athletes have been on campus, Piedmont has posted a 31-7 record and won the Independent South Swimming Conference Championship in back-to-back years in 2023 & 2024. Several of these seniors hold school records and their impact on the program is immeasurable. 

Olivia is a three-time Independent South All-Conference member from 2022-24 and a member of the Independent South All-Academic Team. She has set several personal best this season including at three at the Small College Championships in November. Bechtel set personal bests in the 100 free, 100 fly and 200 fly at that event before swimming a personal best in the 100 breast against Warren Wilson on senior day. Olivia plans to graduate with a degree in nursing. 

Brynne is a two-time Independent South All-Academic Team member (2023 & 2024) and has several personal bests in her final season. She swam a personal best in the 50 free in the final regular season meet after also setting a personal best in the 50 back against Warren Wilson on senior day. Brynne plans to graduate with a degree in applied health science. 

Madison had a record-setting career for the Lions as she holds the school record in five individual events and four relay events. She is the school record holder in the 100 breast, 200 breast, 100 IM, 200 IM and 400 IM while also being part of the school record relay teams for the 200 free, 800 free, 200 medley and 400 medley. She is a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and a three-time Independent South All-Conference member (2022-2024). Madison graduated in December with a degree in forensic science and a minor in biology and is pursuing her master's degree in forensic science.
