DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont men's basketball held off Toccoa Falls and delivered a 77-68 win Tuesday night inside Cave Arena.

After fighting No. 3 Emory on Sunday, the Lions controlled the game from start-to-finish against TFC Tuesday for their first win of the 2025-26 season.

Three Lions scored in double figures Tuesday night, led by senior Fisher Darden, who tallied 17 points and added six rebounds. Javi Marlowe contributed across the board, with 16 points, eight rebounds, three steals and a pair of assists while Silas Mulligan played crucial minutes off the bench, adding 14 points on 4-of-5 shooting while collecting five rebounds in 18 minutes.

It was a slow offensive start for Piedmont, with Toccoa Falls leading 23-18 with just under five minutes to play in the first half. However, the Lions responded with a big run overlapping into the second half, outscoring the Eagles 28-4 over 10 minutes of game action to grab a commanding 46-27 advantage early in the second half.

The Eagles were undeterred, however, battling back to cut the Piedmont lead to as few as four points at 63-59 with 5:52 remaining.

Then, it was the bench's turn to step up for the Lions, as they scored 12 consecutive points, led by Mulligan to lengthen the lead back out to nine with just 1:36 left and secure the victory.

Up next, the Lions will take to the road for the first time this season, battling Warren Wilson next Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.
