DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont men's tennis enjoyed a successful weekend hosting the second annual Piedmont Fall Foliage Classic on Friday and Saturday in Demorest.

In the hidden dual format, the Lions played six lines of singles and three lines of doubles against each team.

Piedmont delivered an 11-7 overall record in singles action, with four Lions going 2-0 for the weekend. Rohan Kavali won in a lengthy second set tiebreak over Berry's Leo Nedkov on Friday morning, before dispatching an opponent from Maryville on Friday evening.

Brent Sherman prevailed in pair of third-set match tiebreakers, taking down foes from Maryville and Truett McConnell. Charles Parnell also went 2-0 in singles play, winning a third-set match tiebreaker against Berry's Aiden Benoualid on Friday morning before a two-set win over Truett McConnell's Ross Stewart on Saturday.

Sophomore Caleb McElveen was the fourth and final Lions to produce a 2-0 singles mark for the weekend, winning a pair of straight set matches.

Sophomores Horacio Rodriguez and Leyton Dunn also picked up a singles win apiece.

Doubles action saw the Lions take seven of the nine matches they played. Piedmont was able to sweep all three lines against Truett McConnell before taking 2-of-3 from Berry and Maryville.

The duos of Dunn and McElveen, along with the team of Kavali and Sherman, each went a perfect 2-0 for the weekend.

Up next, the Lions still have one fall tournament remaining as they are taking part in the Knapp Family Tennis Invite, hosted by Pfeiffer University and beginning Thursday, Nov. 6 in Misenheimer, North Carolina.
