LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Piedmont volleyball dropped the first of its three matches this weekend in Lookout Mountain, Georgia falling 3-0 to host Covenant on Friday night.
Katie Hubbard led the way offensively with eight kills, while
Zoe Coelho continued her standout senior season as well, leading the team with 20 digs.
Sophomore
Bailey Daughtery also delivered an efficient performance, recording three kills with a .375 hitting percentage to go with a team-high two block assists.
The Lions jumped out to a fast start in the opening set, taking seven of the first eight points. However, the Scots responded immediately with a big rally in the first set and never looked back in the three set win.
Up next, the Lions will play two matches tomorrow in Lookout Mountain, battling LaGrange at 2 p.m. before facing off with Centre in a non-conference match at 4:30 p.m.
