MACON, Ga. - Piedmont volleyball captured its second straight victory, cruising to a 3-0 CCS road win at Wesleyan on Wednesday night in Macon.
The Lions were dominant from start to finish, delivering set wins of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-9 to bank their fourth three-set victory of the season and their second in conference.
Senior
Alex Wingate led the team with eight kills and an outstanding .412 hitting percentage. Her eight kills is just one shy of her career high.
Katie Hubbard added four kills and was second on the team with 10 digs.
Defensively,
Zoe Coelho continued her standout senior campaign, recording 19 digs in just three sets as she currently leads the CCS in total digs.
Sophomore
Erin Lemons was outstanding as well, totaling a career-best six service aces.
One night after a grueling four-set victory at home over Toccoa Falls, the Lions left no doubt against the Wolves, building substantial leads in all three sets and closing them out to take the three-set victory.
Up next, Piedmont is back in action with an unorthodox CCS Tri-Match at Covenant. The Lions will open up the weekend by taking on the Scots on Friday night at 7 p.m. before battling LaGrange at 2 p.m. and then non-conference foe Centre at 4:30 p.m.

- Piedmont took control of all three sets early on and cruised to the three set win.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Lemons was dominant as a server, with a career-best six service aces.
- Wingate delivered a hitting percentage of over .400 and tallied a team-best eight kills.
