MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Piedmont men's soccer team fell to Berry on Wednesday night by a score of 2-0. The Lions offense struggled to find its footing as the Vikings controlled the majority of the possession.

It was Berry to start the scoring, finally breaking through in the 38th minute. The Vikings recorded nine shots in the first half while Piedmont was limited to just three with just one of them requiring a save.

The Lions struggles continued into the second half as the defense was once again put to the test. Berry continued to hammer away and in the 61st, the Vikings forward put away the second goal of the game. 

Piedmont found late life, testing the Berry keeper but remained unable to get on the board and the contest concluded 2-0.

Nathan Jacome and Davis Knight both finished the contest with two shots on goal.

Up next, Piedmont continues on the road, traveling to Greensboro, N.C. to take on Greensboro College on Friday, September 13 at 2 p.m.
