DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont women's lacrosse team defeated the Pacers of William Peace early Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated in USA South play. The Lions offense overwhelmed the Pacers early, scoring ten goals in the first period as Aly Reece went on to break the program's single game assist record with nine assists in the contest.

Reece got the scoring started early for the offense, putting in the first goal within two minutes of the opening whistle. Once the scoring began, the team never looked back as they carried a 10-0 lead into the second period of action. Reece had already stacked five assists by the end of the period and junior Ava Trankina secured a hat trick.

The Lions continued to put the game out of reach, scoring five more goals in the second period as they carried a 15-0 lead into the half time break. Seven different Piedmont players scored in the half including goalie Kellianne Schlosser, who entered as an attacker for a portion of the period.
