GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Piedmont women's lacrosse team defeated the Pride of Greensboro 21-1 early Saturday afternoon to move to 6-0 in USA South play. The Lions offense continued to impress as ten different players scored during the contest.

It was all Piedmont in the first as the Lions hung double digits on the Pride in the opening period. The first ten goals went the way of the road squad, with Greensboro finally putting an end to a 10-0 run with just 00:45 left in the first. Carson Bezold led all scorers with three goals while six total players scored in the period. 

The offense got right back to work in the second period, putting in another five goals to stretch the lead to 15-1. Sophomore Lovette Choloh posted a hat trick in the period. The defense also continued to stifle the Pride offense, allowing zero shots in the second period.  

Out of the break, Savannah Limehouse scored her second goal of the day as the Lions continued to coast towards the win. Adding six more goals in the second half, Piedmont closed the contest with a commanding 21-1 win.

Up next, Piedmont returns home for an important USA South match up with Brevard on Wednesday, April 17.

--Piedmont jumped out to an early lead with an 10-0 run in the first period.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
--Lovette Choloh led all scorers with 5 goals while adding 3 ground balls.
--Laura Crone scored 4 goals in the contest while grabbing 2 ground balls and 1 caused turnover.
--Carson Bezold recorded a hat trick while adding 2 assists and 2 ground balls.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
--Piedmont held the Pride to just 6 shots, with only 1 coming in the second half.
--The Lions forced 13 turnovers to just the 4. 
--The offense remained relentless for the entire contest, launching 33 total shots.
