Piedmont Cycling Travels to GoNuts Enduro

This weekend Piedmont Cycling sent a small group up to Kanuga for the GoNuts Enduro. Enduros are stage downhill races, all the stage times are added together for your total time of the race.

The nice weather we have been having seems to disappear for the weekend. The 4 student-athletes were battling the below-freezing temperatures while going for the gold medal.
Despite the temperature they were all able to get great results in their categories.

Majo Montoya raced the Pro Open Women and took home the silver second-place medal. She had a close battle with first place but just came up short. Dylan Lindsey, Samuel Woodall, and Nick McHan, all raced each other in the male division. Dylan and Samuel, both made it on the podium, getting 2nd and 3rd respectively. Nick also made a solid effort to get in the top 10. Overall, the team had a great weekend!
