DEMOREST, Ga. - Piedmont women's soccer used a pair of second half goals to rally past Huntingdon on a beautiful Friday night in Demorest.

The Lions scored first before the Hawks equalized midway through the first half. However, Piedmont was undeterred, as the Sierra sisters connected on the game-winner in the 67th minute while Chloe Spradlin added a beautiful free kick insurance goal late.

Piedmont struck first, as Kluba carved through the defense and unleashed a rocket to the top right corner of the net to give the Lions a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute.

However, the lead was short-lived, with the Hawks finding a way through the Piedmont back line to equalize in the 33rd minute.

Neither side was able to break through in the waning minutes of the first half and the team went to the break knotted at 1-1.

The Lions emerged from halftime with renewed energy, creating numerous chances early in the half.

Then, it was time for the Sierra sisters to play hero, with Christina playing a quick low cross that found the foot of Victoria, who beat the keeper high and to the left for the decisive goal.

The Lions were then able to hold the Hawks at bay before Spradlin announced her presence after entering as a sub late in the half. The senior took a free kick from about 40 yards and curled it in the back of the net on a bounce over the keeper.

From there, Piedmont was able to run out the clock and put the finishing touches on another conference victory.

Up next, the Lions will welcome No. 1 WashU to Demorest for a morning kickoff this Sunday, October 6 at 11 a.m.
