Cycling Travels to Hincapie Gran Fondo

The team hopped one state over to race the famous Hincapie gran fondo- Greenville, SC. The race had over 2800 participants. Former Tour de France riders were there including George Hincapie, Mark Cavendish, and Bradley Wiggins. Jolanda Neff, Olympic mountain bike gold medalist, was also in attendance. The race course was 19 miles per lap.

Reagan Pattishall started first in the chilly morning to complete her 3 laps (57 miles). She rode hard to stay with some of the top junior men. She finished 1st in the women's junior challenge. She also won the junior women's QOM.

Emma Frost and Katie Prowell started shortly after Pattishall. Their race was 4 laps (76 miles). They worked through the pack to get towards the front. Frost and Prowell finished 2nd and 3rd overall for women and 1st and 2nd in their age group. Frost placed 3rd in one of the QOMs. Prowell finished 2nd in one of the speed zones.
