GREENWOOD, Ind. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, have released their Academic All-District teams for men's soccer and the Lions are represented two honorees.

James Cash and sophomore
Danny Castro take home the award for their first time in their careers.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 19 (men) and December 20 (women). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
JAMES CASH | Jr. | Suwanee, Ga.
Cash appeared in a career high 17 games for the Lions in 2023 making 11 starts. He scored the first goal of his career this season against Sewanee while adding an assist against Huntingdon later in the season.
DANNY CASTRO | So. | Watkinsville, Ga.
Castro appeared in a career high 18 contests while making seven starts for the Lions in 2023. He added two assists on the season with the first coming against MUW in a 6-3 win while the second came against Toccoa Falls in an 8-1 win.
