Box Score MACON, Ga. - The Piedmont men's tennis team began its 2023 slate with a non-counting Division I exhibition contest at Mercer.

Playing by Division I rules, the Bears prevailed 7-0, taking all three doubles lines and all six singles lines.

The match served as a tune up for the Lions ahead of their regular season campaign, scheduled to begin three weeks from today at Pfeiffer.

Head Coach Matt Williams returns to lead the team for his second season after guiding the Lions to a program-record 16 victories last season.

Newcomer YANNICK WASSMER NAVARRO battled at No. 1 singles, taking two games in each of the first two sets against Mercer's Mariano Argote.
