DEMOREST, Ga. - In a bounce back effort inside Cave Arena, the Piedmont men's basketball team left no doubt in a 98-73 win over Huntingdon Saturday. The Lions were led by
NOAH REARDON and
WILL RICHTER who both scored 16 points.
Piedmont led throughout the contest taking a 19-7 lead in just over five minutes of play. The Hawks made a quick run to cut it to 19-14, but the Lions were able to build a 13 point lead, 29-16, with 7:49 to go in the first half.
The Lions led by as many as 17 in the first half but thanks to a buzzer beater 3-pointer from
RYAN JOLLY, Piedmont went into the break up 19, 49-30.
In the second half, a 12-0 run built a 32 point lead for Piedmont, 70-38 with 12:30 remaining. The Piedmont defense kept the Hawks from scoring from the floor for over seven minutes in the second half.
The Hawks were able to come as close as 19 in the final minutes but the Lions were in control throughout.
Up next, Piedmont hosts LaGrange on Wednesday for another CCS doubleheader at 7 p.m.
TURNING POINT:
--Piedmont never trailed in the contest building a 15-4 lead out of the gate.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
--Reardon and Richter both contributed 16 points in the contest as Richter shot 4-for-6 from behind the arc.

RYAN JOLLY added 15 points shooting 3-for-3 from 3-point range.

DALTON MEELER scored a season-high eight points in seven minutes of action.
