DEMOREST, Ga. - In a back-and-forth matchup, Piedmont and Bob Jones were unable to break the tie and finished at a 0-0 scoreline. 

The contest saw 31 total shots after 90 minutes but neither squad could find the back of the net. Freshman Goalkeeper BOBBY WOOD had a tremendous game in net, stopping all nine shots the Bruins fired on target. His biggest moment came midway through the first half, where he was able to shut down a Bruins forward in a one-on-one scenario to keep the score line level.  

Piedmont relied mostly on their counterattack game to find its looks and saw shots on target from senior midfielder JARED GRAGE, senior JARRETT SCOTT and sophomore JASON AUSSIN. 

Up next, Piedmont will host Pfeiffer at home on Saturday, Sept. 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the WAC. 
 

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES: 
 
- Freshman Goalkeeper BOBBY WOOD turned away all nine shots on target to preserve his clean sheet. 

- Senior VICTOR CANAS logged 67 minutes off the bench for the Lions.
