GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Piedmont women's lacrosse team bounced back in a big way on Saturday afternoon with a dominant 14-1 road victory at Greensboro.
The Lady Lions pounced early, leading 8-0 after the first quarter before the Pride scored their lone goal, starting off the second.Â
Piedmont led by 10 at the break and iced the game away with three more goals in the second half as the clock was running for the entirety of the second half.
Freshman

Bumpass got the scoring parade started not even 1:30 into the contest and added her second of the day with just over three minutes gone in the game. It was then Spratlin's turn, as she scored the next two and then capped the first quarter scoring with her fourth of the day, making it 8-0 Lions with 11 seconds left in the opening period.
Junior captain
LINDLEY WARD also scored twice as both of her goals came in the second quarter.
After missing a number of games with an injury, Moreland made her impressive return to the field, tallying two of Piedmont's three goals in the second half.
