MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Piedmont men's tennis team continued its winning ways with another conference shutout on the road, this time over Huntingdon in Montgomery on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions were dominant across the board, winning all three doubles lines without much resistance and taking the six singles lines in two sets apiece.

The dynamic duo of CHRIS BALE and PATRICK DEMPSEY improved to 6-3 on the season in doubles and 5-2 in the No. 3 spot. After Bale and Dempsey's 8-0 win, the No. 1 singles team of ALBERTO NUNEZ and JACKSON TRAYLOR prevailed, 8-2, in their first action of the season together.

Finally, reigning USA South Doubles Team of the Week MIKE PORCELLI and ROMAN WEBB cruised to an 8-4 win at No. 2 to complete the doubles sweep.

Needing just two singles lines to clinch the match, SILAS SANDLES quickly made it a 5-0 advantage for the Lions with a 6-0, 6-0 clinical performance at No. 4 before Nunez delivered the clinch, dominating 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1.

With the match in hand, the rest of the Lions took care of their Hawks opponents in short order as Dempsey also only lost one game on his way to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5.

COOPER KEWORK won by the same score at No. 6 while Porcelli and Bale also closed out two-set victories to complete the sweep.

Up next, the Lions will host Brevard in their first USA South home match of the season this Wednesday, April 6 at 3:30 p.m.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Traylor stepped into the No. 1 doubles spot and cruised with Nunez to an 8-2 win in the duo's first match together this spring.
