DEMOREST, Ga. - In doubleheader action Sunday, Piedmont baseball brought Milkjug Magic back to centerstage at Loudermilk capping off an improbable comeback with a walkoff victory in the 10th inning of game two. Piedmont dropped game one 19-8 before winning 10-9 in game two in 10 innings.

In the second, it looked like the Monarchs were ready to make a repeat of game one with five runs to lead 6-1 and eventually built a 9-3 lead.
The improbable comeback for Piedmont came in the eighth inning as the Lions scored six runs on three hits to tie the contest. The Monarchs went to the bullpen for the first time in the game to start the eighth and made two additional pitching changes in the inning.
HUNTER CAIN hit the game-tying single to right driving in
JAMES WHITMER and
COLE ELLIS to knot it up. Neither team could capitalize in the ninth and we headed to extras at Loudermilk.
TYLER ROON pitched the ninth and tenth innings with
SCOTT LYON helping defensively with a web gem of a double play and Roon produced a 1-2-3 inning in the 10th.
In the 10th for Piedmont, the top of the order was due with Ellis getting hit by a pitch, Jelley earning a walk and
