DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont University women's lacrosse team collected its first conference win of the season in a 21-5 win over William Peace. The Lady Lions were in control for the majority of the contest including holding WPU scoreless in the second half.

William Peace was first on the board just over a minute into the contest but Piedmont answered quickly. It was a scoring frenzy in the first quarter as Piedmont led 7-4 and the domination only grew from there.

Piedmont outscored the Pacers 7-1 in the second quarter to take a commanding 14-5 lead into halftime. It wouldn't take long to reach a running clock in the second half with Piedmont needing just one goal.

Early in the third quarter there was a 15 minute delay due to a power outage at the field, but once restored, the Lady Lions continued to leave no doubt in the contest.

Eight different Lady Lions scored in the game with four Lady Lions contributing four or more points total.

Madison Bradley was the only Pacer to score in the contest and following a pair of yellow cards, she was ineligible for the second half.

Up next, the Lady Lions host Brevard Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Walker Athletic Complex.
