Bale and Webb also were perfect at No. 4 and No. 5.

Both Nunez and Porcelli also delivered back-to-back wins with Nunez winning 6-3, 6-0 and Porcelli prevailing, 6-1, 6-2.

Match 2: Sewanee 9, Piedmont 0

Playing the No. 30 nationally-ranked Tigers in a nonconference matchup, Sewanee controlled the match from start-to-finish.

Sewanee began the match by taking all three doubles matches by an 8-1 margin.

Singles action was also controlled by the Tigers, who won all six lines in straight sets.

Up next, the Lions will take on Huntingdon on the road next Saturday, April 2 at 12 p.m.
