DEMOREST, Ga. – On senior day, the Piedmont University men's basketball team rolled to an 81-53 victory over Berea College. These two teams faced off in back-to-back contests with the Lions claiming the victory Saturday.
With 7:00 to go until halftime, it was a two point Piedmont lead 18-16 until
NOAH REARDON banked a 3-pointer. Reardon was electric for Piedmont behind the arc making three straight 3-pointers for Piedmont igniting the crowd inside Cave Arena.
The Mountaineers kept it close with Piedmont leading 31-26 at the break, but the Lions led this one from start to finish. In the second half, Berea cut it to a three point game before Piedmont went on a 12-0 run making it 51-36.
The Lions were in control throughout the second half including a 30-6 run as Piedmont held the Mountaineers to just eight made shots from the floor in the second half.
Both
JORDAN FOOTE and
JUSTIN QUICK scored 10 or more in the second half with Foote tallying 10 points while Quick scored 16.
NOAH REARDON added 19 overall going 5-of-6 from 3-point range.
TURNING POINT:
--Piedmont used a 30-6 run in the second half to break open the game and seal the victory.

JUSTIN QUICK scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half ending the game with 18 points and six rebounds.

JORDAN FOOTE tallied another double double leading all scorers with 21 points and added 10 rebounds.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
--The Lions cruised in the second half outscoring Berea 50-27 leaving no doubt down the stretch.
