MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Piedmont University men's basketball team dropped a tough 75-47 game at Huntingdon Saturday. The loss marked the final game in conference play for the Lions as they will conclude the season at home Monday.

The Hawks used a 16-2 run to start the game in the opening five minutes of play to take a sizable lead. Piedmont led with the first basket of the game, but that was the only lead the Lions would manage.

Piedmont had just 17 points in the first half trailing 34-17 at the break as the Hawks doubled Piedmont up in the first 20:00. GARRETT BEAGLE was the leading scorer in the first half with four points.

The Lions were outscored by just 11 points in the second half, but the lead was too much to overcome. Huntingdon led by as many as 35 late in the contest.

Up next, Piedmont will conclude its regular season Monday hosting Mississippi University for Women at 6 p.m. inside Cave Arena.
