Lions Shoot Lights Out in 95-42 Victory Over MUW

DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont University men's basketball team went out with a bang Monday evening in the final game of the season claiming a 95-42 victory over Mississippi University for Women. 

The crowd was electric and engaged Monday evening helping spark the Piedmont offense. It was a close game early but the Lions left no doubt heading into the locker room. 

Piedmont used a 26-0 run to end the first half to claim a 30-point lead at the break 53-23. NOAH REARDON was on fire from deep making four 3-pointers in the first 20 minutes as Piedmont had eight deep balls in the first half. 

JORDAN FOOTE totaled 10 points in the first half and all seven of his steals playing less than 10 minutes in the second half. 

The Lions cruised in the second half with the largest lead coming as the clock expired. Several moments lit up the crowd in the final minutes including a big 3-pointer from ANDREW COX and a four point sequence from KOHL HARRIS with a layup, steal and a fastbreak bucket. 

Seniors JUSTIN QUICK, EVAN EASTON, JORDAN FOOTE and ANDREW COX were all subbed out in the final minutes to thunderous applause inside Cave Arena. 

TURNING POINT:
--In the final six minutes of the first half, Piedmont outscored the Owls 26-0 with five 3-pointers during the run.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
--JORDAN FOOTE closed out his career with one of his best all-around contests scoring 14 points while adding six rebounds, four assists and seven steals (a career-high).
--NOAH REARDON scored 23 points going 6-of-9 from 3-point range giving him a new career-high for made 3-pointers in a contest.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
--Piedmont totaled 23 steals in the contest turning it into 43 points off turnovers. 
--Piedmont set several team season-high's Monday including FG% (.529), 3-point FG made (14), assists (21), steals (23) and points (95).
