DEMOREST, Ga. - The No. 4 seed Piedmont University men's soccer team is set to host the No. 5 seed Berea College in the CCS Tournament Quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Lions head into the tournament with tons of momentum after ending the regular season with back-to-back wins. In their final CCS game of the season, the Lions picked up a critical 1-0 win at Belhaven as Freshman Forward Cristi Pascuru scored his second goal of the season. Then, just 16 hours later, the Lions kicked off against Mississippi University for Women where Sophomore Forward JASON AUSSIN's two goals proved to be the deciding factor as Piedmont closed out the regular season with a 2-1 win.
REGULAR SEASON V. THE MOUNTAINEERS:
Piedmont 3, Berea 3 (10/1/22)
Despite trailing 3-1 heading into the final 30, Piedmont battled back to draw against Berea last time the two squads met.
The Mountaineers were the first to score just 10 minutes into the contest but were quickly answered by JASON AUSSIN and the Lions.
However, Berea would find a second goal before the half was over and would extend their lead right out of halftime and control the game comfortably.
Piedmont refused to go quietly as Aussin and Freshman Forward COLIN VOGEL linked up for Vogel's fourth goal of the year. Then, just 79 seconds later, Cristi Pascuru also found the back of the net to level the contest and the Lions escaped with a draw.
