ATLANTA, Ga. - After closing the regular season in style with a win at Belhaven Saturday night, the Piedmont men's soccer team has earned the No. 4 seed for the upcoming Collegiate Conference of the South Tournament and will host No. 5 seed Berea in a quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday in Demorest.


 


The Lions battled to a 2-3-1 conference record with both wins coming on the road.

Piedmont escaped Saturday night as freshman CRISTI PASCARU netted the game-winner off an assist from fellow newcomer MOHAMMED ALSUWEYDI. Freshman goalkeeper BOBBY WOOD was outstanding, making nine saves to keep the Blazers off the scoreboard.

In the regular season matchup, the Lions played Berea to a 3-3 draw on the road.

Wednesday's contest will mark the first time the team has hosted a conference tournament game since 2017.

The Lions will close out their regular season today with a road game at MUW at 3 p.m.
