Men's Golf Soars to No. 4 in Golfstat National Rankings

| By:
DEMOREST, Ga. - After the conclusion of their fall season, the Piedmont men's golf team has jumped into the top-five of the Golfstat national rankings, sitting at No. 4 in the latest tally.

This marks the second time in the last three fall seasons that Piedmont has made it into the top five of the Golfstat rankings. The group soared all the way to the top spot following the fall of 2020.

The Lions moved up due to outstanding play over the course of their four fall events. All four events came against full fields and were against some of the top competition in all of NCAA Division III.

The results speak for themselves. One win. Three top-fives and a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Preview.

Piedmont began its fall campaign with a bang, taking home the team title at the Rhodes Fall Intercollegiate while JOSH HEBRINK and FRED ROBERTS IV shared the individual crown. The squad then picked up a T-4 finish at the Gate City Invitational and closed the season with its second straight fourth-place finish against a loaded field at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational in Florida.

On the individual side, JOSH HEBRINK ends his fall season ranked No. 11 in the country while FRED ROBERTS IV sits at No. 17.

Both players had outstanding falls, as Hebrink posted five under par rounds, a shared individual title and a T-2 finish at the NCAA Preview. Roberts IV delivered six under par rounds, including two rounds of 66, a new school record. He also took home a shared individual title and a T-2 finish at the Gate City Invitational.
