DEMOREST, Ga. – On a career-night for NOAH REARDON, the Piedmont men's basketball team rallied to claim a 90-84 overtime win over Huntingdon College. Reardon was electric on Friday posting a career-high 29 points as he banked five 3-pointers in the contest.

Piedmont looked to be cruising in the first half leading by as many as 19 with 3:03 remaining before the break. In the first half, Huntingdon was held to just two points until the 10:08 mark when they doubled their total. Piedmont led 14-4 at that point as it was a slow start on both sides.

The Lions' defense was aggressive in the early going with JUSTIN QUICK tallying three quick steals and the Lions totaled eight steals in the first half. With a 38-22 lead at the break, Reardon already accounted for 14 points while JORDAN FOOTE was held scoreless in the first half.

Reardon opened the second half with a 3-pointer to continue the Lions' offensive outburst, but the Hawks came clawing back using a 12-0 run. Huntingdon was lights out from downtown in the second half with seven 3-pointers including three on three straight possessions to cut it to a two point Piedmont lead 49-47.

Piedmont maintained the lead until a dunk followed by a turnover resulted in another basket to tie the contest at 53. The Lions fell behind by as many as seven with 3:49 remaining but did not lose hope.

Once again, Reardon came through with a clutch 3-pointer then Foote forced a turnover and capitalized with a layup to tie the game at 71. The two were tied at 75 with 1:04 to play, but neither team could convert in the final minute of play.

In overtime, Foote was key scoring eight of Piedmont's 15 points, getting it done when it mattered most to finish the night with 16 points and 13 rebounds. With a one point lead and 1:39 remaining, Piedmont went on a run scoring seven straight points to take control of the game in OT.
