GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Piedmont University men's basketball team picked up a road win Tuesday in dominating fashion against Bob Jones 71-50. The win marked Head Coach Greg Neeley's 100th career victory at Piedmont. 

The Lions never trailed in the contest building a solid lead early with a 20-12 advantage after a DALTON MEELER layup with 12:36 on the clock. The Bruins fought back to tie the contest at 20, but from that point on, the Lions led for the remainder of the game. 

A JUSTIN QUICK 3-pointer extended the lead to 12 at 37-25 before a halftime score of 37-27. Piedmont did not let up in the second half as ORRY CLEMENTS-OWENS connected from deep for the first basket of the second half. 

The Lions defense kept the Bruins from making a shot from the field for nearly five minutes building a 56-32 lead over that span. Piedmont led by as many as 31 points in the second half with 8:00 remaining in the game. 

Piedmont did not score in the final five minutes of the contest but had secured a large enough lead to coast to victory. JORDAN FOOTE posted another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. 
 
TURNING POINT:
--The Lions dominated in the second half leading by as many as 31 points. 
 
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
--JUSTIN QUICK led all scorers with 20 points in the contest. 
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
--Head Coach Greg Neeley earned his 100th career victory at Piedmont with the win on the road.
 
UP NEXT:
--The Lions head out for contests on the west coast this weekend facing Linfield University on Friday.
