KENNESAW, Ga. – In a Division I exhibition contest, the Piedmont University Lions took on Kennesaw State in an 81-57 loss on the road. The loss will not go on the Lions' record for the season.
Piedmont took an early lead as
ORRY CLEMENTS-OWENS was electric from behind the arc early putting Piedmont up 9-3 in the first five minutes. The Owls later began a 14-0 run to claim a 22-11 lead.
The Lions made five 3-pointers in the first half as Clements-Owens made four for 12 of his 19 points. The Owls led 44-23 at the break, but Piedmont was able to score 34 in the second half.
Piedmont held KSU to just 37 points in the second half. The Lions used a 16-2 run in the second half to cut the lead to just 49-41 with 13:18 to play, but the Owls stretched it back to a double-digit lead.
JORDAN FOOTE scored 16 in the contest with five rebounds while
EVAN EASTON led the team with six rebounds.
TURNING POINT:
--The Owls went on a 14-0 run after the Lions had an early 11-8 lead.

ORRY CLEMENTS-OWENS led the Lions with 19 points against the Owls banking six 3-pointers.
