DEMOREST, Ga. – Senior forward CAMERON EARLS was among four players at his position to earn a spot on the USA South men's soccer All-Conference First Team list, per the league's official release on Thursday.
 
Earls has now earned first team all-conference status in each of the last four seasons, with overall first team honors coming in 2018, 2019, and 2021. (Earls was a first team west division selection in the spring of 2021 when the conference awarded only divisional honors.)
 
For the third time in his career, Earls' led the conference in goals with 18 in the 2021 regular season, giving him six more than the next highest scorer, Greensboro's William Curry with 12. Those 18 goals are the most in a season by a USA South player since 2016 and put Earls in the national spotlight as he battled for the national lead in total goals.
 
At the time of the release, Earls ranked in a tie for eighth in total goals across all of Division III.
 
During his final campaign, Earls tallied four hat tricks to bring his career total in that category to seven. In Piedmont's 4-0 win over Brevard, Earls netted a career-high four goals in what was perhaps the best of many stellar performances in his career as a Lion.
 
The Tifton native ends his career with 121 points and 56 goals scored, ranking third in both categories in the program's Division III-era record book. He also ranks in a tie for third with 11 game-winning goals in his career.
 
Joining Earls on the conference postseason awards list is junior forward JARRETT SCOTT, who earned the team's nomination onto the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team. The Toccoa native appeared in 15 of Piedmont's 16 contests in 2021, making one start against Greensboro on September 19.
