DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont College men's tennis team took down Pfeiffer University, 6-3, on Sunday evening at the Burgen Tennis Courts. 

Piedmont opened the match with doubles wins at No. 2 & No. 3. J.J. GRAY and CHASE MORRIS (No. 3) earned the first point for the Lions with an 8-3 decision before JARRETT GRAY and PATRICK DEMPSEY (No. 2) won 8-4 to put Piedmont up 2-0. 

Pfeiffer tied the match 2-2 after back-to-back wins at No. 1 doubles and singles, but HOUSTON MEDLOCK (No. 3) and JARRETT GRAY (No. 2) took wins in singles play to put Piedmont ahead 4-2. 

Dempsey clinched the match for Piedmont at No. 5 with a 7-5, 6-1 win. Piedmont closed the match with a loss at No. 4 and a win at No. 6 from MATT WILHELM. 

Coming Up:  
- Piedmont plays at LaGrange on March 4th at 4:00 p.m. Following the conference match, the Lions head to Orlando for their Spring Break Trip. 
- The Lions will return home on March 14th as they host Huntingdon College.
