DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-8 home contest to the Sewanee Tigers on a frigid Friday night. 
Sewanee (1-3) jumped out to a 1-0 lead mid-way through the first quarter, but the Lions (2-2) rattled off five unanswered goals to lead 5-1 with 7:50 left in the first half. 
The Tigers would answer with a pair of goals, but 
JOSH COBBINA scored with 20 seconds left to give Piedmont a 6-3 lead at halftime. 
JEREMY KOHN scored the first goal for Piedmont before 
AVERY JENKS, 
CONNOR ROGERS and 
JARED BROCK added scores. Rogers scored his second with an assist from 
MICHAEL ANDERSON to Put ahead 5-1. 
BRADY JENKS scored his lone goal to open the second half, but Sewanee closed the quarter with three unanswered goals to cut the lead to one. 
The Tigers then scored the first two goals in the fourth quarter, but Anderson answered at 6:49 to even the score 8-8. Sewanee's Cameron Acuff scored a pair of goals at 5:55 and 3:47 to close out the game. 
ZACH CZULADA had 19 saves and three ground balls.
CHRIS PANNENBACKER went 12-of-22 at the faceoff dot and scooped up six ground balls. 
CAM MCDONALD and 
WILLIAM FRENCH each had one caused turnover and four ground balls. 
Turning Point
-- Trailing 7-3 early in the third quarter, Sewanee used a 7-1 run to win the game. 
 
Inside The Box Score
-- Sewanee went 2-for-3 on man-up opportunities while the Lions went 0-for-6.
