BREVARD, N.C. – The Piedmont College men's basketball team bounced back with a dominating 97-73 win over Brevard Tuesday on the road. The Lions used a 16-3 run to begin the game to set the tone and never relented.
Junior
JORDAN FOOTE once again notched a career-high scoring 28 points including 16 in the opening half.
WILL RICHTER was electric from deep with five of Piedmont's 11 3-pointers as he also had a career-high with 17 points.
DALTON MEELER also had a career night adding 14 points going 7-of-9 from the floor.
The Lions roared ahead in the first half and built as much as a 20 point lead with 5:30 to go till the break, but the Tornados found momentum and cut the lead to 41-32 at the half. A few quick 3-pointers got momentum back on the Lions' side to start the second half and increased Piedmont's lead eventually to 28 points.
Foote secured a double-double with 28 points and 14 rebounds, leading the team in both categories. Despite giving up 16 3-pointers, the Lions made easy work of the Tornados.
Up next, the Lions head to Berea on Saturday to face the Mountaineers at 4 p.m.

--Tuesday marked another career-high night for
JORDAN FOOTE as the junior scored 28 points to increase his career-best mark for the fifth time this season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
--This is Piedmont's highest point total since putting up 99 against Pfeiffer in 2018.
