DEMOREST, Ga. – In true comeback fashion, the Lady Lion volleyball team pulled out a 3-2 win over Bob Jones University Tuesday evening. The Bruins entered at 10-1 on the season and claimed the first two sets, but Piedmont rallied to claim the match capped off with an emphatic kill by ALINA ROBERTS to end it. 

The Bruins were in control early taking the first two sets 25-23 and 25-19, but the Lady Lions weren't counted out in the third. Despite trailing 6-0 to start the third set, Piedmont mounted a comeback to take the lead 18-17. The Lady Lions used that momentum to claim the third set 25-22. 

In the fourth, Piedmont used a six point run to take a 16-13 lead and took the set 25-23 using a kill by BRIANNA KING to seal the win and force the fifth set. The Lady Lions were dominant in the fifth though the Bruins still showed some fight as Piedmont took the fifth 15-9. 

ALINA ROBERTS accounted for 14 kills while ALI WILKINS posted 28 assists. LAINEY CHOINIERE put up 28 digs while BRIANNA KING added 12 giving her a double-double with 12 digs and 10 kills. 

Three of Piedmont's four home matches this season have now gone to five sets. 
 
TURNING POINT:
 - The Lady Lions trailed 2-0 in the match but flipped the switch in the third to claim a set and continued to ride momentum to the five-set victory. 

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- ALINA ROBERTS led the Lady Lions with 14 kills as three Lady Lions were in double figures with ERICA BALKCUM adding 12 and BRIANNA KING tallying 10.
