MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Piedmont College women's lacrosse team closed out its regular season with a 14-4 victory at Huntingdon on Friday afternoon in Montgomery.

The Lady Lions (9-7, 8-3 USA South) scored four quick goals in the first 10 minutes and never looked back on their way to a third win in their last four contests to finish the regular season.

CASSIDY HEFLIN led Piedmont with six points, including a season-high four goals to go along with two assists. ROWAN BUMPASS joined Heflin, scoring four times herself while SAMANTHA ISHEE recorded her first career hat trick, scoring a career-high three goals.

PC wasted no time jumping on the Hawks (4-12, 3-7 USA South) early, with DOMONIQUE STEELE's goal just over two minutes in giving the Lady Lions a lead they never relinquished.

12 seconds later, Bumpass added her first as Piedmont eventually extended its lead to 4-0 before Huntingdon got on the board almost 12 minutes in.

The Lady Lions added two more goals to close the half with a 6-1 advantage.

The second half was more of the same in a dominant PC performance. Piedmont netted the first five goals of the half to take a commanding 11-1 lead with just over 10 minutes to play.

After three straight late goals by the Hawks, the Lady Lions closed out the game on a positive note, scoring twice to increase their lead back to 14-4.
