FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Piedmont women's lacrosse team survived a back-and-forth battle with Methodist University Saturday for a 12-11 win. 
After trailing 10-6, Piedmont scored six unanswered to lead 12-10 and held on for the victory. 
The Monarchs took a 4-0 lead before Piedmont was able to claw back and edged out Methodist 6-5 in the first half. Piedmont scored three in the final minute and a half of the first half including 
MACEY HIGGINS scoring with three seconds remaining. 
Once again, it was a 5-0 run by Methodist who took a 10-6 lead, but Piedmont stormed back once more to lead 12-10. One final goal was allowed but the Lady Lions moved to 5-1 in conference play with the win. 
MATTIE KEATON earned 17 saves in the win with three ground balls. 
EMMA FRANSEN totaled six points with five goals and one assist. 
MACEY HIGGINS, 
CASSIDY HEFLIN and 
ROWAN BUMPASS each added a pair of goals while 
AISLYNN KIMBRO added one.
