ORLANDO, Fla. – The Piedmont men's tennis team wrapped up its Spring Break trip on Tuesday with a pair of wins over Morningside and Ursinus. 

The Lions swept NAIA Morningside 9-0 before taking a 6-3 win over Ursinus to close out the night. 

Over the five days in Florida, Piedmont went 3-3 that included a 5-4 and 6-3 loss to Belhaven and Transylvania, respectively.  

Piedmont returns home on Sunday, for an 11 a.m. conference matchup against Huntingdon. 
 
Match 1: Piedmont 9, Morningside 0 

In Tuesday's first match, the Lions cruised to an easy win over NAIA Morningside College as No. 1-6 singles won in straight sets. Piedmont doubles also took care of business, winning all three matches. 

The No. 2 duo of ANDREW CHITTY and HARRISON LABOLLITA took the first doubles match 8-1 before HOUSTON MEDLOCK and CHASE MORRIS won 8-4 at No. 3. 

KANLER CUMBASS and JARRETT GRAY won 8-3 at No. 1. 

In singles, the Lions had an easy day with its only test coming at No. 4 as Medlock won his first set 7-5, before winning 6-3 in the second set. 

Gray won at No. 3 6-1, 6-1 while Chitty clinched the match at No. 6, winning 6-2, 6-0. 

Morris won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 before LaBollita won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2. Playing at No. 1, Cumbass won 6-3, 6-3. Medlock was the final Lion to finish his match. 
 
Match 2: Piedmont 6, Ursinus 3

Piedmont jumped out to a 2-1 lead after winning No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Medlock and Morris earned their seventh win of the season as they won 8-2 before Chitty and LaBollita improved to 5-3 for the year at the No. 2 spot, winning 8-6. 

In singles, Piedmont took four of six matches while falling at No. 3 and No. 5. 

LaBollita won at No. 2, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) to give Piedmont its first singles point before Chitty won at No. 6, 6-2, 6-0. The senior has now won five straight in singles play. 

Cumbass would go on to clinch the match with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 win at No. 1 while Medlock won the Lions' final point at No. 4, 6-4, 6-4.
