DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont College baseball team rolled to a 12-5 win over Lynchburg on Saturday on senior day. Prior to the contest, nine seniors were honored for their careers in the Green & Gold.
MICHAEL HENDERSON had the most impressive performance of the day at the plate as he blasted his first career home run in the second inning. Henderson finished the day 3-for-4 coming up a triple short of the cycle.
BRADY BALLSTADT and
JUSTIN GROOVER also added three hits in the game as the Lions totaled 16 hits in the contest.
DAVID CRAFT earned the win on the mound pitching five innings with four seniors working in relief for Piedmont.
The Lions took the lead on Henderson's homerun, but the Hornets answered with two runs in the next frame to tie it. Piedmont would rattle off 10 runs over the next four innings to secure the win as the offense continued to impress.
Turning Point
--A four-run fourth inning put the Lions in front 9-2 and gave Piedmont the lead for good.
Standout Performances

MICHAEL HENDERSON finished the day 3-for-4 with his first career homerun to give Piedmont the lead 2-0.
