LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - In a doubleheader to finish the series, the Piedmont College baseball team took two against the Covenant Scots on the road. Piedmont won 6-0 in game one and followed up with a 6-1 win to sweep the series.

In game one, it was RYAN STEWART who earned the win on the mound tossing seven innings while it was DAVID CRAFT in game two who earned the win. The bullpen allowed just three hits for the Lions as SETH GEORGE, ALEX ANDREW, MATT VONDERSCHMIDT and BUDDY GREEN all saw action Saturday.

Piedmont got on the board in the first game in the second inning with two unearned runs before the offense was able to string together hits and score a few more. The Lions managed six runs on six hits, but in game two they more than doubled their hit total with 14 hits and another six runs.

In game two, however, it was the Scots who would strike first and lead 1-0 after the first. Piedmont answered quickly to tie the game in the second, and took the lead in the fifth. The Lions scored once in the fifth and would add a pair of runs in the sixth and eighth innings.
