CARY, N.C. - In the series finale against William Peace, the Pacers won on a walk-off single to claim a 4-3 victory over Piedmont. The Lions led 3-0 but were able to record just one hit in the contest despite putting up three runs.
The Lions' first run came in the top of the fourth after three errors and two stolen bases. Piedmont would add their final two runs in the next frame with two outs after a walk and steal as
JUSTIN GROOVER hit a double to trade places with
CAMERON JOHNSON making it 2-0.
The last run came after Groover had stolen third and an error by the third baseman allowed
BRADY BALLSTADT to reach and Groover to score making it 3-0. The Pacers did half their damage on one swing with a 2-run home run in the 6th inning.
WPU would add another run in the seventh inning to tie the game with the winning pitcher, Brann, striking out the side in the top of the ninth and the Pacers' offense leading their team to victory in the bottom of the frame.

--The Pacers won on a walk-off single after a double by the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the ninth.

DAVID CRAFT pitched five innings of clean work allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out two batters.

--Piedmont moves to 5-1 in conference play as this marked the first USA South loss of the season for the Lions.
